SAB USA Dye Sublimation Jersey Design

The team manager at Team SAB USA contacted us here at Amplified Graphic Design Services. He informed us that his team needed to stand out a lot more at the field. With that we went to work. We knew that this design required that all over printed look to assure it would stand out and give it that team jersey impression. We worked hand in hand with our client and vendors selecting the perfect fabric and jersey style. We knew that this U.S. team jersey had to have a patriotic theme. Working off of the SAB USA logo we started to layer on the design. This entire project was created using vector graphics so that we would be sure the printing vendor would be able to manipulate anything if they needed to. After a few revisions the project was complete and sent off to the vendor for final printing. We liked it so much we made sure to order one for ourselves. So technecally I guess we are SAB USA Team members. 😉

Want To Know More About Dye Sublimation?

Scientifically, sublimation is the chemical process by which a solid turns into a gas without going through the liquid stage. It is one of the phase transitions of matter. For an everyday example, think of an ice cube: freezing and melting are more familiar phase transitions, but when ice cubes shrink in the freezer, it is an example of sublimation.

Dye sublimation printing with thermal transfer does indeed use true sublimation when transferring the image from a contact paper to the substrate. The primary takeaway is that the process uses a heat cycle to cause the ink to vaporize and create a richer and more distinct printed image than other forms of printing, especially on fabric. The dyes used in this process bond best with polymers, so the greater amounts of polyester in the material, the more the dye will bond to the fabric.
